Beginning of our trip

             - Sorry, this is a google translation... -

Tuesday, April 6. First day stop in New Caledonia (NC). Some said it would be easy because there are lots of hitchhikers, while others we do not recommend doing that because it can be dangerous. Anyway, stop being too paranoid, otherwise we would not do anything. We just have to be careful. In short, we woke up early this morning to help Paul to restore some order into the boat. Finally, it takes quite some time, and we take off the boat around 8 am, after more than an hour of storage. We walk a while with our bags to go to the casino and make provisions for the days to come. It's too weird to be in a store with lots of French products (including biscuits, candy, cheese ... ") It's hard to remember everything before that. The price we still cool fast enough because it is not given in NC. It is a little fun with chocolate croissants as you dream and 2 bags of Haribo (Dragibus and Floppy ^ ^)

After shopping, we took the road towards Bourail with our stop sign. We walk a while before stopping along the road out of town, heading north. We look for a dark corner to ask because it's really hot here. We waited a moment before a car finally stopped, and we propose to take us to pay. From there, it would be easier to find a car for Bourail. Once arrived at the toll, the guy dropped us at the gas station. We would like to fill our water bottle, but it is not possible. Finally, a lady in a car and leaving the station calls us and handed us a large bottle of water. We are very touched by this gesture. Thank you very much. Shortly after, a guy we propose to take us to the rock holes, where we want to go. Cool! This gentleman is a Caldoche, that is to say a person who is born metropolis in NC. It is not bad, but very racist toward Kanak (indigenous). In short, we finally arrive at Roche Percee. It will sit on the edge of the beach and we take our picnic. It is a beautiful beach, "the man" is pretty much (rock coming off the cliff).
You rest a moment, then resumed our bags to hitchhike in the direction of camping Poe, about ten kilometers away.

A guy we had seen on the beach not far from us (bizarre...) we took a ride quickly takes us to the campground. This is a very quiet here, and it's not very expensive for a site that has not seen on the beach. We found a nice spot where you plant the tent that Paul gave us (and floor mats!) Was a little worried about opening the bag, surely it's been a little while she has not served. THE so we go ask our neighbors if they would not have a clip to open. Fortunately they have one and she is very helpful! After installed, it will take a walk on the beach. Very nice! We spend the evening between the beach and beautiful sunset, tent camping and wifi. It's dark early here, so we do not go to bed too late.

3 days on a boat trip!

                 - Sorry, this is a google translation... -

Easter Saturday, April 3. End of our 2 months in Australia the direction of France, or rather one of its territories, New Caledonia. Our plane was at 8:30, we had to get up very early! The flight was uneventful, beautiful view to the arrival (departure cons unfortunately it was the wrong way to see the Sydney Opera House ...)

Arrive Noumea right on time (11:20, same time as in Sydney) A woman offers a flower necklace, landing ;-) are recovered quickly our bags and went outside to wait Paul, our host must Couch Surfing pick us up at the airport, nice is not it?! In fact Paul Lodge on a boat, and this Easter weekend, he decided to leave three days at sea with others in Noumea (most of Couch Surfing also) And they waited for our plane to go with us. Too cool!
Paul arrived a little late, given the traffic on Easter weekend, but it does not matter, a great weekend ahead!

So here we are on the road to Port Moselle in Noumea (the airport is 1 hour from Noumea!) We embark on the boat with our bags around 13h30, departure 14h. The boat of Paul is a tall ship. Not too bad winds this weekend, sunshine, a perfect weekend promises! It is 7 on the boat, 5 girls and 2 guys (including Paul). We sailed for about 3 hours, Anais at the helm the last hour. We arrive at the island Signal, and we put the anchor. To land, Paul has what he calls his "schedule" means a small rowing boat in which we can reach 4. We therefore landed on a small group of beautiful beaches on the island. There are a few other people who took advantage of the long Easter weekend and the weather (it was three weeks in New Caledonia it was raining!) On the island, but has room for us anyway ! Paul lent us a tent and groundsheet, so we settled before going to a ride on the island looking for sharks. We just saw a spoiler without much to distinguish it ... It would have impressed us to see one up close, but to be honest when you know that there are in the water, hoping not to fall when a
we make the dive even though we are told they are harmless!

Anais back on the boat with Paul and William for making food. There is also a campfire on the beach to cook sausages and merguez. It's nice to eat real merguez sausages and as in France! Small game then striped knits: they are small black snakes and blue (or black and yellow) that live in water and a group of guys who ate with us are researching is over so we went to see how they ' will take to pick them up! Dodo then. But hard to sleep when the screaming ... Puffins Puffins are birds, they are numerous on the islands around Noumea and make the same noise that a crying baby ... So hard to fall asleep when dozens of puffins cry at the same SATURDAY!
He will think earplugs the next night ^ ^

Wake up early the next morning ... In fact the sun rises about 5:30 and quickly heated the tent ... then no longer possible to stay in the tent after 7am. Paul is already up, he slept under the stars and has not really been able to sleep either because of puffins! The guys in the striped knits begin to make measurements for their study: length, weight, sex, number of stripes ... They do look and Nadège even dares take a! Anaïs still afraid of snakes and do not dare! Breakfast then when the whole group is lifted. Then we always go snorkeling (palm-snorkeling). We are in a marine reserve and therefore the fish species are protected. The corals are beautiful and we see plenty of fish we knew it! Paul knows full on marine life and shows us and explains so many things.
Very interesting and beautiful!

Back to the boat by swimming a little later (Paul comes attached with the business) We sailed a good time. Lunch on the boat: tabbouleh salad, cabbage, carrots ... well balanced meal! J In the afternoon, we made a second snorkeling session, not far from the island where we will stay for the night. Very nice again! And there's too funny, there are 4 small yellow fish that start to follow us. They follow William first, then when he leaves the water, they begin to follow Anais. They are cute! They're not afraid at all and put in front of our masks, we see great! Nadège joined Anais to enjoy too! Fun for a moment to make them follow us, then we leave the water, a little exhausted!
Ca fatigue even when diving!

Then arrive at the island M'bo for our second night, about 16h. You should know that the sun sets early here (18h) He leaves us a bit of time before nightfall to visit the island, swim ... Paul arrived with two girls and their business, we are awaiting the next round! But they galèrent to reach its destination, the tide is low and Annex rubs corals, which is neither one nor the other. Paul can not pick us up for another half hour, the time the water rises a little. But eventually, the water continues to come down ... So we must wait over 2 hours to land. We took the opportunity to make a nice photo session at sunset, taking the drink, then prepare to eat ... Paul finally arrived and we embarked with our business. We also affects coral, but less! We installed our tent, and then Paul starts the fire will look the other 2 stayed on the boat. Good meal when everyone is on the beach: vegetable soup, chops in the fire, salads ... Party on a deserted beach by the fire, all lit by candles! What could be better?
(Ah, if less mosquito Lol because we did eat ^ ^) The night is going a bit better than the previous, shearwaters are fewer ... But there has still been better ...

Third day. The tide is out again this morning, so we expect Paul (who has stayed on the boat on this one!) In the morning sun from the beach, drinking fruit juice. He managed to come at 8:30. We handle our business and we landed on his boat and then looks for two other girls. Breakfast on board before continuing our journey at sea break not far from the island for a snorkeling session. Very nice, even if it is not a marine reserve area and therefore the fish are somewhat less likely seen that fish.
It's always magical to swim among the fish, just above the coral!

It restarts. Anais prepares food with Paul, cucumber, cabbage, duck confit, pasta ... And for dessert: bell Easter! Oh, chocolates, it was long! In the afternoon, we redo a break snorkeling, but only Paul and Julie have the courage to leave the boat, we were a bit lazy, we prefer to stay on the boat! We return to port at sunset, tired but happy though our weekend!
And we took good colors!

Tonight, we stay on the boat for the night Paul. We leave the port still make a trip to MacDonalds for internet, and you take a shower in port health. It feels good! Quick meals on the boat, then close dodo!
